A huge piece of photography is telling stories. Often, when designing photography portfolios and blogs, we use it as a holding space for projects instead of a place to highlight those stories. With Blinking Blue Photography, I wanted a place that could both showcase and artfully hint at the stories hidden within the images. The design of the homepage, the off-color fonts, the color blocking of the images, all contribute to the sense that the images are more than just photos and hold more robust stories.
